Utilizing Iron "STAKES/JIGS" Arms | Bondo Mold Enhancement | Essential future tool: Iron/Metal PIPE CLAMPS

Besides Bondo/Putty Molds, you can also use Iron Stakes (Pancang).

For example: A stake consisting of 2 legs for every section requiring alignment. Note: Each leg must have at least 2 sub-feet! Each pair of body panels should be maintained with at least 2 sets of Stakes.

Each set (containing 4 sub-feet) is secured semi-permanently with nuts and bolts, housed in a simple "fixed-weld" enclosure that can also be used temporarily.

SCHEME:

In my opinion, this is highly effective and efficient for high-caliber work like SHELL SWAPS (e.g., swapping a Suzuki Carry Futura Pick-up shell with a Sedan body).

Useful for body parts replacement clamps. Can be adjusted to 3D-printed clamp shapes for Temporary Holders and Position Templates.

  • Not just for exhaust pipe fabrication.
  • Creates near-perfect alignment.

Example of a standard clamp that can be enhanced for body panel replacement:

For cost efficiency over 3D printing, an alternative is the Bondo Mold:

  • The mold is split in two after inserting the clamp "head."
  • Process is similar to a popsicle mold where the stick is submerged in liquid.
  • Once the Bondo set is cured and cut, it's ready to GRIP the new body panel securely.
